Developed by Al Merrick, Shaun Tomson and Tom Curren on the long walls of Rincon, AM’s have stood the test of time and remain arguably the most popular fin templates in the world. All of Shapers team riders have AM’s in their fin quiver for the simple fact that they perform at the highest level. AM’s are famous for exceptional speed, drive and release off the top.
The raked side fins deliver drive and draw out rail carves whilst the smaller centre fin reduces drag and frees up the tail. The AM’s are placed in the Carve Fin Class however fall into the all time, must have category! CARBON STEALTH construction offers a more lively flex pattern that holds longer through turns, loading up on energy and then reacting with extra speed, drive and flow.

FCS II Sharp Eye Tri Fin Set
The SE template was developed by Marcio Zouvi and sits in the Accelerator Family. It was refined with the help of the elite SE team including Kanoa Igarashi. In fact, the outline is very similar to the Performer and Accelerator templates with a touch more sweep and a little less area in the tip. Recently updated with carbon tissue inlays and AirCore construction, the SE fin is stiffer than the original version allowing it to harness more power and speed when pushed ultra hard through turns.
This all-rounder will release a bit quicker and feel a little looser compared to the Performer/Accelerator, but the flat inside face means it will respond very quickly when initiating a turn. Its perfect for light to medium weight surfers who surf fast and like to stay lively on their feet.
