AM Fins are legendary! Developed by Al Merrick, Shaun Tomson and Tom Curren on the long walls of Rincon, AM’s have stood the test of time and remain arguably the most popular fin templates in the world. All of Shapers team riders have AM’s in their fin quiver for the simple fact that they perform at the highest level. AM’s are famous for exceptional speed, drive and release off the top.

The raked side fins deliver drive and draw out rail carves whilst the smaller centre fin reduces drag and frees up the tail. The AM’s are placed in the Carve Fin Class however fall into the all time, must have category! CARBON STEALTH construction offers a more lively flex pattern that holds longer through turns, loading up on energy and then reacting with extra speed, drive and flow.

Bridging the gap between the CI Keel and AM Twin – this high area twin fin provides the drive and hold you expect from a keel, with the pivot and release found in the upright AM twin template.

Placing it’s self in the middle of the CI family, the BM template has a swept back long leading edge that leads into a full rounded tip. Different from other twin templates, this fin is designed to feel secure when laying into a longer turn or driving hard off the bottom.

With the CI Twin Pin/CI Mid in mind, the idea was to help anchor the tail to the wave face so surfers could take a more aggressive approach to riding a twin fin.

Designed in conjunction for the Dumpster Diver 2 the larger AM sides combined with a custom more upright center will work incredible on any small wave / groveller surboard. The larger / raker outide fin with a more upright center tightens the fin cluster so you get the drive and release needed to perform at your maximum skill level while riding your small wave / or everyday performance shortboard.
